Number of iterations wavelengths vs. number of iterations Fig. 1. Evolution of costs versus the number of iteration of the tabu search on the 6-node transparent MLR topology A Tabu Search Optimization for Multicast Provisioning 23 wavelength allocation heuristic algorithm to find the set of lightpaths and assign the wavelengths for the initial solution. 5 Simulation and Numerical Results We evaluate our tabu Search based multicast provisioning heuristic algorithm on three different topologies: 6-node sample network , the cost-239 network (11 nodes and 52 directed links) , and European Optical Network (EON, 28 nodes and 88 directed links) .
Results from the implementation show that the proposed protocol achieves consensus among the respective nodes and also has a positive impact on lifetime of the network without any compromise on power efficiency. Keywords: Acoustic sensors · Consensus · Underwater sensor networks 1 Introduction Recently, sensor networks for monitoring environmental indicators are gaining popularity. Each of these sensors collects information about some environmental indicator and sends it to the processing sites. Sensor networks have also been deployed under the water; in seas, oceans, and lakes for monitoring physical and/or biological indicators.
Discussion on a shared power grid information model is not new. In fact, there exists IEC61970-301 Common Information Model (CIM) standard developed by the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC), that aims to enable integration among different applications and power utilities. The standard is also well-known to the power engineering community. However, the majority of power utilities do not use the IEC CIM. The potential barriers that prevent a widespread adoption are the required migration time, the intimidating size of the standard, and the uncertainty of expected benefits.
